Xuri writes "Quote from UOX3.org: "Three months have passed since the previous UOX3 version was released (though any changes and updates are always available directly from the CVS at any time after they've actually been made), but now we're back on the release track with UOX3 0.98-3.7, which is available from the Downloads-page."
Read below for a summary of this version's updates, or check out the detailed changelog."

MuadDib writes "The Lost Souls Development Team has decided to quit the free shard business and dedicate their site to giving back to the POL Server Community. While we are not affiliated with the development of POL Server, we are trying to do what we can to give back to it's community! Come by and check us out, or apply to join our staff. We are dedicated to giving back to the community in forms of Guides, software, specialized scripts, mirroring of other useful guides, and whatever else we can do!
You can find us at http://www.lostsoulsshard.org"

| Announcing the release of a new Multi Editing Tool by punt: WorldMaker Multi! |
|
kirax2 writes "A great new tool for editing buildings, multis, or any static structures was just released! This tool supports import from UO Architect files, from multi.mul files, multicache.dat files, and directly from the radar map, as well as export to the UOAR format, multi txt format, merging directly into the multi.mul or statics.mul files (via the radar map), and much more!
WMM gives users unprecedented power over the placement of individual tiles within their structures, allowing them to easily adjust the placement in all nine UO directions and the altitude. More than one item can be placed in a single location, allowing for tremendous decoration possibilities, such as "layering" items (dishes on tables, for example).
Another great feature is the option to set the clipping, both from the top and the bottom of the altitude range. Only want to show items between -30 and -40 altitude in your editior? Only want to select items in this range, and no others? Just enable your clipping, and you're set!
WMM handles hues, invisibility (displaying specific items, such as doors and signs, during the placement of a multi, but not including them once it is placed), and many other features with ease. Because it works directly with UO's files, it is compatible with *any* shard, regardless of which emulator it runs on, and most any operating system. Check it out at http://www.ragedcom.com/punt/ (download wfmulti.rar, and be sure to download the qt.rar file as well and extract it into your new WMM directory for important dlls). For support and more information, visit the forums at: http://wm.orbsydia.ca/.

| No Need for a Members Account! |
|
I've turned off the option for all visitors to sign up for a membership in order to download anything. This is mainly because the site is about to go under heavy development and there is no sense in blocking it anymore. Also I've had reports of users not being able to retrieve a password.

Tanjiers.org is currently looking for a full staff to help us in the re-development. We're interested in just about anyone that would be willing to help us out.
No web development skills are needed. You only need to have experience with different parts of the game and/or other portions the Emulations for UO. All of the web coding will be handled by the head staff members and myself. So please do not worry about these types of things.
If your interested in helping us out, please head over to the staff forums and fill out an application.
